    Next Steps

All admitted students who plan to attend Baruch College should reserve their place in the incoming class as soon as they have decided to enroll at Baruch. Complete the steps below to reserve your place!

    International Students

After accepting your offer, the next step is to request the Certificate of Eligibility (SEVIS Form I-20) before applying for the F-1 (Student Visa). Check out this video for a guided walkthrough. Please thoroughly review all of the instructions for obtaining your immigration documentation and complete them as soon as possible. Please contact ISSC@baruch.cuny.edu with questions.

    File Your FAFSA

If you are a U.S. resident, file the online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA application becomes available in December 2024. File your FAFSA as soon as possible. The application is required to be considered for any financial aid or honors programs. Apply at studentaid.gov.

    Download Navigate

Download or log into the web version of Navigate to view your To-Do list items and receive notifications.

    Testing

Incoming students that are required to take Math or English writing placement exams, will be contacted directly by the The Office of Testing and Evaluation.

Please visit the  Office of Testing and Evaluation  for more information.

    Submit your Immunization Records

To ensure a safer, healthier student community, all students must fulfill mandatory health and immunization requirements in compliance with New York State Public Health Law 2165 and 2167, as well as CUNY policy. All new students must be fully vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Meningitis (proof/waiver).

    MMR/Meningitis:

Submit your Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Meningitis (proof/waiver) documents to medicalrecords@baruch.cuny.edu. If you previously submitted this information to another CUNY college, you do not need to resubmit them.

For more information, you can visit Immunization Policy FAQ.

    Submit AP Scores & Transcripts

    First Year Students:
Submit all transcripts listing college coursework, including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate exam scores, prior to registration. CUNY transcripts, including College Now, do not need to be submitted. Final high school transcripts must include the date of graduation.

    For more information, email new.freshman@baruch.cuny.edu.

*NYC Public Schools students do not need to request a final high school transcript as long as they have listed their OSIS number on their admission application.

    Claim Your Baruch Accounts

In the weeks following confirmation of your college commitment, you will receive an email with instructions to activate your official Baruch accounts, including your campus email.

All official college communications will be sent via your BaruchMail. See BCTC’s webpage for instructions.

    Class Registration

Incoming first year students are registered for their first semester courses by the New Student Programs Office.  Your schedule will be thoughtfully created based on your incoming credits, intended major, your Math and English placements, and your responses on the Pre-Orientation Survey. Please allow us time to complete the registration process; we are working diligently to complete enrollment for all incoming first year students by the start of the fall term. Note that failure to attend Orientation may result in being dropped from your classes.

    For more information, visit: Orientation

    Meet with an Advisor

Once you are registered for classes, you will be invited to meet with an academic advisor or peer advisor. You will need to complete an advising tutorial prior to your meeting. This meeting is not mandatory.

For more information, visit: New Freshman Advising

    Orientation

Registration for Fall 2025 Orientation opens on April 24. Baruch’s Orientation Experience is required for all new students.
