CUNY Elementary Algebra Final Examination (CEAFE)
The CUNY Elementary Algebra Final Exam (CEAFE) is a university-wide standardized mathematics examination for students who are taking Elementary Algebra courses (e.g. FSPM 100, IBSIP 100, CSTM 100).
Students who have not met the CUNY Proficiency Requirements in Mathematics and who take an Elementary Algebra course/intervention would need to complete the CEAFE.
The CEAFE is a timed, 25 multiple choice questions computer based examination. It is designed for students to demonstrate their proficiency in basic algebra skills and is aligned with the learning objectives of the Elementary Algebra Course. Students will have 100 minutes to complete the examination.
Calculators and Reference Materials
Students may use a standard four function or scientific calculator on the test. No graphing calculators, cell phones, other electronic devices, or reference materials are permitted.
The CEAFE accounts for 35% of your grade in the Elementary Algebra course.
Sample CEAFE question sets are available on the Study Guide page.
Students may take practice examinations using the MapleTA online testing environment.
