Language Screening
Baruch’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, in conjunction with our Zicklin School of Business, offers a variety of customized English-language support courses that are designed to meet the needs of graduate business students. These mini- courses include an integration of business content, technology, and relevant business language skills.
The program helps ensure that all students entering the Zicklin School of Business have the English-language proficiency necessary to succeed in their graduate courses and professional careers.
All entering students whose first language is not English, or who do not have an undergraduate or graduate degree from a U.S. institution, will be screened prior to the first day of classes. The screening will determine which, if any, of our English-language modules students need to take.
The modules are:
- Writing for Business
- Oral Communication for Business
- Grammar Troubleshooting
- American English Pronunciation
Any students required to take ABE program will be screened as part of that program.
